He was the 27th chieftain of The Bronze Dragon Order, which was known for tracking down and killing dragons for more than 4000 years.

He was a brother to Konrad and uncle to Larissa, Alisson and Metius, who later became the High King of the North.

In the spring of the year 4372 during the Age of Dragons, Aldur was heavily wounded and lost his left arm in a fight against the Giant Shepherd, a dragon from the southern regions. After a brief recovery in the Fortress of Turdan, he left the Dragonslayers and rode to Riverton, leaving leadership of the order to his nephew, Metius.

In Riverton he enjoyed a peaceful life up until the Siege of Riverton in which he took part and possibly died during the battle.
